Active RFID Tags
Conventional RFID tags do not continuously communicate with tracking systems while freight is in transit. As a result, you are often left in
the dark when it comes to real-time data, supply chain decisions, customer notification activities, and other relevant information. However, new RFID
technologies are changing the game.
|
Tracking Innovations' active RFID tags provides companies with the ability to monitor, control, and manage commodities throughout a complete
shipment. The active RFID tag provides reports on the corresponding humidity, temperature, and/or shock/vibration for the environment the tag
resides in. Tracking Innovations designed the tags to be able to uphold harsh environmental conditions and provide reliable performance. Powered
by four disposable AA batteries, the aRFID tags are housed in materials approved by the FDA to comply with pharmaceutical and food shipment
regulations. These aRFID tags have 512k of on-board memory used to store data readings between intervals of communication to the Master Unit.
They are a central part of Tracking Innovations Real Time Tracking System (RTTS) and are constructed to drive efficient, adequate, and effective
readings for premium asset tracking and monitoring.

The Breakdown of Tracking Innovations Active RFID Technologies
Automation |
Tracking Innovations' Active RFID tags do not require tag readers at a choke point. This eliminates humans engaging with the units to retrieve the collected data. |
Durability |
Active RFID tags are protected internally. They can be used numerous times. |
Human Capital |
After the shipment has been configured, there is essentially no human interaction and is entirely automated. |
Identification |
Each active RFID tag can identify a certain item with a detailed description. |
Line of Sight |
The active RFID tags can be read from any direction because the reading range is large. In this case, the line of sight is not required. |
Read Rate |
Multiple active RFID tags can be read simultaneously. |
Read/Write Efficiency |
Active RFID tags have read/write capabilities but can also modify and update. |
Security |
Active RFID tags are secure by a closed proprietary protocol. The transmission to the Master Unit is protected. |
Technology |
Active RFID tags continually utilize the most current cutting edge technology. The type of technology active RFID tags use is radio frequency. |
Tracking Innovations firmly believes there are diversified advantages to using active RFID technology in day to day operations. The advantages include
improved transmissions at longer distances, strong responses from weak reception, and limitless amount of sensory data.
